Auctorian Fallout 6, the Finale

Yes Auctorians, it has come to that time! See how the Apocalypse Finale to the Auctorian Onslaught happenned.

Spoiler; LOTS of dice were rolled;

Ok, so I have tried to write this several times. Each time I either get bogged down in details, forget quite what happened or get so frustrated trying to match pictures to events that I give up. Well no more. I'm simply going to put down some vague details about the game and let the pictures do the talking for me; after all, they are worth a thousand words each, right?

So following on from day 1, each side was given 10,000 points, with a few bonuses based on what they had achieved during the campaign. Both sides had to spend a minimum of 1000 points on infantry (which was far too easy for both sides) where as the Chaos side had to spend a minimum of 1000 points from their allowance on Super Heavy vehicles for destroying the Titan Foundry, even though it was the Imperials that did the deed in the end... At the final tally, the Imperials had a little over 15,000 points to play with, but the Chaos alliance had over 16,000. Reasonably balanced, all things considered;

The missile silo on the dessert table could fire at the other table, but not until the shield generator in front of the ruined basilica was disabled.

So that was it. Oh you want more?

Ok, so stand out moments in the game for me; Probably one of my favourites was when my Baneblade issued an All Out Attack on itself, gunning it's engine, moving 36", doing a Dukes of Hazard jump over the trenches in front of the Basilica, crushing several units under its tracks. There was also the Loyalist Terminators that Deep Striked behind my lines, threatening the Chaos Sorcerers holding the fortification there. I turned a squadron of Leman Russes to face them, but in their rush to target the Terminators they overshot, killing all but one of the Sorcerers. Ooops!

Lastly, something that everyone seemed to enjoy, was the duel between the lone Space Marine Scout and the Greater Daemon of Tzeentch. It lasted far too long, though eventually the Scout was martyred; truly the stuff of legends.

So, with the mission being to simply have the most points within 2 feet of the Basilica at the end of the game, Chaos edged out. They claimed the Auctorian Sector in the name of the Dark Pantheon.

So that is the last of the Auctorian Fallout posts. Or is it? On November 30th and December 1st we will be fighting the prelude campaign, The Auctorian Conquest! If you want to take part, check out the Facebook Event Page HERE! Once again, it will be a free event, so check it out and get involved.

Until then, hopefully I shall be resuming normal Blogging service. Maybe next time I'll just do a weekend review...
